Keshena and Cameron got in touch just a couple of moths ahead of their April wedding day. Due to being one of the quieter months for us, we were able to diary some time and complete the incredible pieces they had I mind.
They were looking for signage to compliment their cream and gold plans and we had just the idea for them.
Keshena and Cameron were a little too far away to be able to visit the studio for a design meeting, so instead we discussed ideas and plans over several video calls and lots of e-mails. I also sent samples of the acrylics for the couple to see before finalising their decision. So, if you are a little further away from us and unable to attend an in-person design appointment, please do not worry at all.
Keshena and Cameron chose our stunning, matt clay acrylic as their backing boards and we layered with gold vinyl and laser cut gold mirror acrylic lettering. The clay acrylic offers a slightly softer contrast to the white alternative and was just the tone needed for the overall look this stylish couple were wanting to achieve.
We created a combined welcome sign and order of the day. To make this as effective as possible, we used the top section of the board to display their names in the striking gold mirror acrylic and the lower section for the timings of the important events within their wedding day, cut and applied in gold vinyl.
The couple chose a traditional calligraphy style of font for the titles within their signage and we continued this theme throughout smaller elements too. We created a custom cake charm ‘The Swans’ in the same font, which along with their cake menu, will make a wonderful keepsake and lasting memory from their wedding day.
Due to much of the room being styled towards the cream and gold elements within the theme, we created contrast by introducing some black and gold pieces of small signage to include table numbers, cake menu, and cards & gifts sign too. We also added black tassels to the engraved gold mirror place settings to compliment the table numbers and mirror menus perfectly.
I was so pleased to be able to help Keshena and Cameron in the short timeframe we had. Their elegant plans worked perfectly within Oxnead Hall and fitted our style beautifully too. The lovely couple had the following to say about us;
If I could do my wedding all over again, I would definitely work with Laurel House Designs and Amie without a doubt! Amie was incredibly friendly, helpful, proactive and her support on setup day was amazing. Her energy and passion for what she does is infectious and she really helped bring our wedding theme and design together. We had lots of compliments on our signage, how special and classy it looked! Amie stayed in touch throughout, nothing was too much and she had a solution for everything. I can’t recommend them enough!
